To provide a power steering apparatus capable of suppressing generation of rattling sound based on vibration of a drive shaft and a worm shaft of an electric motor in an axial direction.
In the power steering apparatus, a shaft coupling 30 for connecting the drive shaft 11 and the worm shaft 21 of the electric motor 10 is structured by an external tooth member 31 press fit to and fixed with a side end part of a worm shaft 21 of the drive shaft 11, an internal tooth member 32 press fit to and fixed with a drive shaft side end part of a worm shaft 21 and a damping member 33 fit to the external tooth member 31, the damping member 33 is structured by combining a rubber soft damping body 35 and a resin hard damping body 36 and a metal wave washer 34 is elastically arranged between the internal tooth member 32 and the soft damping body 35 in a shaft direction and thus a shaft direction displacement of the drive shaft 11 and a worm shaft 21 resulting from looseness in an axial direction of respective bearing B11-B22 is suppressed.
