Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease a discharge flow rate of a variable displacement pump at the time of non-steering by providing a discharge flow rate control mechanism for decreasing the discharge flow rate of the variable displacement pump when the load pressure of a gear box is low during non-steering, and increasing the discharge flow rate of the variably displacement pump when the load pressure of the gear box becomes high during steering.
CONSTITUTION: When the load presure applied to a gear box is below a fixed value like non-steering time, a load pressure sensitive valve 3 decreases the eccentricity amount of a variable displacement pump 1 in earlier timing as compared with that of steering time according to the load pressure. On the other hand, the power steering device is provided with a discharge flow rate control mechanism for increasing a discharge flow rate of the variable delivery pump 1 when the load pressure applied to the gear box becomes high during steering. Thus, during non-steering, the discharge flow rate of the variable displacement pump 1 can be lowered than that during steering so as to realize an energy-saving effect.
