To provide a power steering device capable of improving steering responsiveness.
In bypass valves 1 (first and second bypass valves 10 and 20), the sectional shapes of the inner peripheral surfaces of valve holes (first and second valve holes 100 and 200) and the outer peripheral surfaces of valve bodies (first and second valve bodies 11 and 21) are different from each other in an axis perpendicular direction, thereby forming communication paths (first and second communication paths 15 and 25) between the inner peripheral surfaces of the valve holes and the outer peripheral surfaces of the valve bodies. The communication paths communicate oil paths (first and second oil paths 61 and 62) connected to a pair of pressure chambers (first and second cylinder chambers 51 and 52) with a reservoir tank 8. Pressure difference is generated between both sides of the valve body in an axial direction following the increase of the flow velocity of hydraulic oil flowing from the oil path side to the reservoir tank 8 side. An axial length is set larger than the diameter of the section of the communication path so as to enlarge the influence of the increase of viscous resistance to the communication path following the reduction of the temperature of the hydraulic oil.
