Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device contributing to further saving of energy by eliminating energy loss when a vehicle stops or is in a slow speed running condition while holding a steering wheel.
SOLUTION: This power steering device is provided with a circuit 20 for running and a circuit 21 for stop to switch the circuit 20 for running and the circuit 21 for stop by a switching means 22. A controller C determines a current command value Ic for switching the switching means 22 based on vehicle speed signal Sv. A current command value Iθ2 for stop provides a dead zone d2, which is set to be larger than a dead zone d1 of a current command value Iθ1 for running.
