Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a reliable power steering device to make it small and inexpensive.
SOLUTION: Reset IC 80 always receives the regular signal Vout for detecting of CPU erroneous operation outputted from a pulse output device 79 and at the stage where it becomes impossible to receive this signal, it judges that a CPU 75 starts an unexpected operation an ends out the reset signal (a command signal interrupting restart) to the CPU 75. The most characteristic point in a hardware circuit (wiring, etc.), of a motor control unit (controller 7) of the electric power steering device 100, is that a feed back line 81 is additionally provided to an output line of the pulse output device 79. The feed back line 81 is the line for reinputting the prescribed signal Vout outputted from the pulse output device 79 from an A/D converter 74 to the CPU 75. The normal operation of the A/D converter 74 can be easily tested by the reinput (the regular signal Vout) in real time.
