Abstract:
To restrain contact of an extraneous material, produced by sliding of a case body and a lid, with an electricity generation element, when closing the opening of the case body with the lid.SOLUTION: The case body 13 of a secondary battery 10 has a bottom wall 13b, and a pair of long side walls 13c and a pair of short side walls 13d standing from the peripheral part of the bottom wall 13b. An electrode assembly 12 is received in the case body 13, and the opening 13a of the case body 13 is closed by a lid 14. An insulation cover 30 is located between the electrode assembly 12 and the lid 14, in the standing direction. In a state not received in the case body 13, the insulation cover 30 is larger than the inner shape of the case body 13, in a plan view from the standing direction. In a state received in the case body 13, the insulation cover 30 has an opposite edge parts, opposing the pair of long side walls 13c and the pair of short side walls 13d, in the whole outer periphery. The whole opposite edge parts of the insulation cover 30 abuts on the pair of long side walls 13c and the pair of short side walls 13d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
