To provide a power storage device capable of preventing the overvoltage stop of an inverter.
A power storage device 17 includes a flywheel, a generator-motor coupled to the flywheel, and an inverter 20 whose AC side is connected to the generator-motor and DC side is connected to a DC link part, and exchanges electric energy with the DC link part by supplying the AC of a variable frequency from the inverter to the generator-motor and controlling the rotation number of the flywheel. The inverter includes: a voltage detector for detecting the voltage of the DC link part; a voltage command value setting part for setting a voltage command value of the DC link part to one of a first voltage command value and a second voltage command value on the basis of a detected voltage from the voltage detector and the rotation number of the flywheel; and a maximum rotation number setting part for setting the maximum rotation number of the rotation number of the flywheel to one of a first maximum rotation number and a second maximum rotation number on the basis of the detected voltage from the voltage detector and the rotation number of the flywheel.
