An electrode assembly (11) formed by laminating a positive electrode (12), a negative electrode (16), and a separator (20) in layers is housed in a body member (22) of a case. Negative electrode conductive plates (33, 38) are disposed between the body member (22) and the electrode assembly (11). Positive electrode conductive plates (31, 36) are disposed between the body member (22) and the negative electrode conductive plates (33, 38). Separators (35, 40) are disposed between the positive electrode conductive plates (31, 36) and the negative electrode conductive plates (33, 38). A positive electrode terminal, positive electrode conductive plate tabs (32, 37), and a positive electrode tab (15) are joined together, and a negative electrode terminal, negative electrode conductive plate tabs, and a negative electrode tab are joined together. The thickness of the positive electrode conductive plate tabs (32, 37) and the negative electrode conductive plate tabs is 5 times or more as large as the thickness of metal foils of the positive electrode (12) and the negative electrode (16).
