To reduce a load on a user by restraining a power storage element from being in an over-discharge state even when abnormality of a discharge circuit occurs.
A power storage system comprises: a plurality of power storage blocks, each of which includes a power storage element connected to a load and performing charge/discharge and which are connected in series; a discharge circuit which is connected to each power storage block and equalizes voltage of the respective power storage blocks; and a controller for detecting abnormality of the discharge circuit. The controller transmits information on the abnormality of the discharge circuit to a terminal device owned by a user of a vehicle or a manager device of a vehicle manager managing the vehicle through a communication module mounted on the vehicle. It is possible to urge the user to perform repair or the like before a power storage element turns into an abnormal state caused by over-discharge accompanying the abnormality of the discharge circuit. Thereby, a power storage element turning into an abnormal state caused by over-discharge can be restrained while reducing a load on a user.
