To provide a power storage system which can perform various kinds of control depending on the number of power storage devices in a structure in which the number of power storage devices electrically connected in parallel can be changed.
The power storage system has a plurality of power storage devices (10A-10D) which are each switched between a state electrically connected in parallel and a state subjected to parallel connection interruption, voltage sensors (14a) which detect the voltage values of individual power storage devices electrically connected in parallel, current sensors (14b) which detect the current values of individual power storage devices electrically connected in parallel, and a controller (30) which controls the output in the plurality of power storage devices electrically connected in parallel. The controller computes the output value in each power storage device based on the outputs of the voltage sensor and the current sensor, and sets a value which is obtained by multiplying the smallest output value of these output values by the number of power storage devices electrically connected in parallel as an output tolerance to be used for output control of the power storage devices.
