Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: in a conventional power storage system in which a capacitor and a lead acid battery are concurrently charged, the capacitor is fully charged earlier than when the lead acid battery is fully charged and thus charging is completed and even when a capacitor voltage drops, the lead acid battery is not fully charged; therefore, electric power cannot be supplied to an electric motor.SOLUTION: The power storage system, in which a capacitor and a lead acid battery are concurrently charged, is configured to detect that the lead acid battery is fully charged in charging the power storage system and after detection of the full charging, to start charging the capacitor and not to complete charging until the lead acid battery has been fully charged.
