Abstract:
To provide a power storage unit for a printer and a printer which can reduce contract power.SOLUTION: A printer having a driving part driven by power includes: power-receiving parts 50a to 50c for receiving power supplied from a system power source 100; a storage battery 62 capable of storing and discharging power; a DC/DC converter 66 for stepping up or down the power discharged from the storage battery 62 to a voltage capable of driving the driving part; and a power switching part 68 configured to perform switching between a first power supply form of supplying power supplied from the system power source 100 to the driving part through the power-receiving parts 50a to 50c, and a second power supply mode of supplying the power discharged from the storage battery 62 to the driving part through the DC/DC converter 66 in place of the power or together with the power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
