To provide a power-storing device that can handle a long power failure and smoothes power at a time band of a large power demand.
This power-storing device consisting of a power-converting unit and a power-storing unit is characterized in that the power-storing unit is divided into a plurality of parts and dividedly stores power. The power- converting unit has a function for converting power of a commercial power source to power storable in the power-storing unit, and a function for converting the stored power in the power-storing unit to power linkable to a system of the commercial power source. The device, by thus dividedly storing power, has a standby power-supply function that enables the stored power in all power- storing units to be supplied to a load upon a power failure.
