Abstract:

To drive a load with high efficiency by a method wherein a voltage lowering means by which a power supply voltage supplied to a load driving circuit from a power supply circuit is made lower than a power supply voltage supplied to a driving control circuit is provided.

The collectors of driving transistors 3 and 6 are connected to the output terminal of a power supply circuit 2 through a diode 4. The voltage of the power supply which is supplied to a load driving circuit 8 which supplies a driving current to a driving coil 1 is lower than the voltage of the power supply which is supplied to a driving control circuit 9 by the forward voltage of the diode 4. With this constitution, the voltage values of control signals which are outputted from control signal output terminals 14, 15, 16 and 17 provided on the driving control circuit 9 can be elevated. As a result, if the driving transistors 3, 5, 6 and 7 of which the load driving circuit 8 is composed are in electrically continuous states, voltages between collectors and emitters in their saturation states can be very small, so that a motor can be driven to rotate with high efficiency.
