To provide a power supply circuit which uses a surge absorption element having a small maximum permission loss and a small external shape, and is downsized and thinned, and also to provide an earth leakage breaker.
The power supply circuit is provided with: a rectifier circuit converting AC voltage supplied from an AC electric path 1 into DC voltage; a reducing means reducing output voltage of the rectifier circuit; a voltage detecting means (second Zener diode 54) detecting surge voltage from output voltage of the rectifier circuit; a boosting means (second resistor 55) boosting output voltage of the reducing means when the voltage detecting means detects surge voltage; and a current absorbing means (third Zener diode 56) which is installed on an output side of the reducing means and absorbs surge current when output voltage of the reducing means reaches a prescribed value.
