Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply control device for a vehicle, which can determine both a belt slide and a capacitor failure.SOLUTION: A power supply control device for a vehicle comprises: power generation current estimation means which estimates a power generation current of a generator from an engine rotation number, a power generation indication value to the generator, and a power generation voltage of the generator; charging current estimation means which estimates a capacitor charging current charged to a capacitor from the power generation current which is estimated at the power generation current estimation means; voltage change calculation means which calculates an estimation capacitor voltage change for a prescribed time from the capacitor charging current which is estimated at the charging current estimation means; voltage change actual measurement means which actually measures an actual capacitor voltage change of a capacitor for a prescribed time; and failure determination means (S6) which determines a belt slide or a capacitor failure on the basis of the estimation capacitor voltage change which is calculated at the voltage change calculation means, and the actual capacitor voltage change which is actually measured at the voltage change actual measurement means.
