Abstract:
To provide a power supply which enable flexible changes in its characteristics or specifications.
The DC output of a power converting part 12 is controlled, based on the pulse signal generated with a pulse width modulation(PWM) part 11. A computing element 50 detects an output current Iout to decide the operating mode of a load based on the current value. If the output current Iout is small, a smaller value than that of usual time is written in the cyclic register 61. The PWM part 11 generates pulse signals, based on the data stored in the cyclic register 61 and an 'on'-time register 62.
