PURPOSE: To enable failure current to be restricted without causing transient response characteristics in normal operation to become poor and a fuse to be omitted by allowing circulation current corresponding to a rated current of at least an AC/DC converter through a reactor and a diode in a DC power supply.
CONSTITUTION: When a DC failure accident occurs in either of AC/DC converters 10A, 10B,..., 10N, a failure current IF tries to flow from other sound AC/DC converters and a DC circuit 20 to the AC/DC converter which has resulted in an accident. This current is extremely larger as compared with a rated current Id0 of each of AC/DC converters 10A, 10B,..., 10N but no failure current IF flows in opposite direction to diodes 31A, 31B,..., 31N of failure current suppression devices 30A, 30B,..., 30N of the AC/DC converter which has resulted in an accident so that it flows to reactors 32A, 32B,..., 32N which are connected in parallel with the diode and a current increase ratio di/dt of failure current is suppressed.
