Abstract:
To provide a power supply device for a vehicle, mounted onto a vehicle to obtain a low voltage power supply via step-down means from a high voltage power supply, capable of preventing an electric shock against a human body without using insulation means, such as a transformer.SOLUTION: In a construction that a power conversion from a high voltage to a low voltage is performed by selectively connecting a predetermined power storage element group to a low voltage electric load from a high voltage power supply formed by connecting a power storage element in serial, a leakage current from the high voltage power supply is measured in a dead time period when the power storage element group is not connected to the low voltage electric load, and an electric shock is prevented by disconnecting a power supply from the high voltage power supply to a high voltage load device at a time when it is a predetermined value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
