Abstract:
PURPOSE:To miniaturize a solar battery in size and to reduce its system price by suppressing the discharge of the battery in a power supply device charging its battery by the solar battery. CONSTITUTION:When the terminal voltage of the battery 5 is higher than a rated value Eo, a transistor (TR) 20, a resistor 21 and a Zener diode 22 are acted as a constant voltage device and holds the voltage on its output side, i.e. the input side of an inverter 7, constant. Consequently, discharged power from the battery 5 can be kept almost at constant. When the terminal voltage of the battery 5 is lower than the rated voltage Eo, a Zener diode 24 is disconnected. Therefore, the base current of TRs 13, 14 flows through resistors 16-18 and is relatively reduced, so that the input current to the inverter 7 is reduced and the discharge of the battery 5 is suppressed.
