Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the amount of the loss of power consumption is large when allowing a current to flow to a voltage-dividing resistor and a comparator used for comparing voltages even in cases other than the voltage comparison of regulation in a DC-DC convertor having a regulation function.
SOLUTION: In a DC-DC convertor having a charge pump circuit 31, a voltage-dividing circuit 32, and a regulation circuit 33, by the ON/OFF control of PchMOS transistors Qp21, Qp22, and Qp31 based on an enable pulse enb, the voltage-dividing circuit 32 and a comparator 41 are set to be in active states only during a regulation period, and are set to be in inactive states in periods except the regulation period. As a result, a current is allowed to flow to voltage-dividing resistors R1 and R2 and the comparator 41 only for a fixed period required for regulation operation, thus inhibiting the loss of power consumption caused by allowing the current to continuously flow to the voltage- dividing resistors R1 and R2 and the comparator 41.
