A power supply system includes, as a power supply apparatus for a DC busbar, a power storage device and a power conditioner connected to an AC busbar connected to a commercial power system. The power conditioner is configured to be operative by switching between an AC/DC conversion operation state and a DC/AC conversion operation state. Control means selectively operates the power storage device and the power conditioner as a voltage source on the DC busbar. The power supply apparatus operating as the voltage source operates to supply more power to the DC busbar as a voltage VDC falls below a reference voltage Vth and receive more power from the DC busbar as the voltage VDC rises above the reference voltage Vth.
