PURPOSE: To enable a user to intuitively recognize device information by displaying three-dimensional information based on two-dimensional map information.

CONSTITUTION: This system consists of a map information means 100 which uses the CAD system of a computer to symbolize and display a power system of iron towers, transmission lines, etc., in a two-dimensional map on the screen of a CRT, a three-dimensional solid model generating means 110 which generates individual parts of the power system as three-dimensional solid models in the computer, an attribute giving means 120 which gives attributes to three- dimensional solid models corresponding to symbols, and a three-dimensional solid model display means 130 which displays three-dimensional solid models in the part of an arbitrary symbol on the screen of the CRT at the time of designating this symbol in map information displayed on the screen of the CRT by a cursor.
