Abstract:

In a power system stabilization system for stabilizing a small-scale electric power system to which electric power generated by a rotating power generator is supplied, the power system stabilization system includes an electric water heater that receives electric power from the electric power system and heats water, a system frequency measuring device that measures a system frequency of the electric power system, and a hot water controller that increases the power consumption of the electric water heater when the system frequency exceeds a reference frequency, and, on the contrary, decreases the power consumption of the electric water heater when the system frequency is less than the reference frequency, whereby the frequency of the electric power system is maintained within a predetermined range.
