To cool a traction drive type continuously variable transmission mechanism in a power tool including a driving motor serving as a drive source and the continuously variable transmission mechanism for transmitting the power of the driving motor.
The power tool includes a blast fan 12 which turns around a motor spindle 11 of the driving motor 10 as a rotation axis for sending air to the driving motor 10. The driving motor 10 can be cooled by the air sent from the blast fan 12. An airflow guiding structure is further provided which guides the air sent by the blast fan 12 to also cool the continuously variable transmission mechanism 30. Thus, the continuously variable transmission mechanism 30 is also cooled by means of the air sent by the blast fan 12 to the driving motor 10. In addition, the airflow guiding structure is constituted so that the air sent from the blast fan 12 is vented in contact with an external surface of a mechanism body housing case.
