To provide a power tool capable of ensuring a wide visibility for an operator by suppressing the dimension of an output shaft of a motor in the axial direction.

The power tool, for example, a portable band saw includes a flat motor 15 which has a rotor having the output shaft 16 projecting from a motor housing 19 having a disk-shape coil disk 24 where a plurality of approximately annular coils are arranged in the circumferential direction around the output shaft 16, in an axis 50 direction view of the output shaft 16, and a stator having a magnet 26 disposed so that a magnetic flux passes through the coil disk 24 in the axis 50 direction of the output shaft 16, a driving saw wheel 3 which has a cylindrical shape having one end part closed by a lid part 32, and in which an outer peripheral part 31 extends from the lid part 32 toward the motor housing 19, the cylindrical shaft is mounted to the output shaft 16 at the lid part 32 so as to be coaxial with the output shaft 16, and an inner peripheral edge 36 of the outer peripheral part 31 is positioned at the outside of the outer peripheral edge 37 of the motor housing 19, in the axis 50 direction view of the output shaft 16, and a bandsaw 5 driven through the driving saw wheel 3.
