PURPOSE: To enhance the power reception efficiency of the title power transmission apparatus by a method wherein a phase is controlled for every power-transmission antenna element by an angle detection circuit, an operation and processing circuit and a phase conjugation circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Solar energy which has been gathered by a power generation part 16 is transformed into electric energy. On the other hand, in a phase conjugation circuit 6, a difference signal is obtained by a pilot signal transmitted from a target object which uses the phase of microwaves as a power reception object and by a common pilot signal to be used as a power-transmission reference point in the pilot signal, and a pilot signal which has been input is gradually n-multiplied by the difference signal. Then, the gradually n-multiplied pilot signal is wave-divided into the number of power-transmission antenna elements by a wave-dividing circuit 7. In addition, the arrival direction of the pilot signal is detected by an angle detection circuit 12, and the power-supply phase difference of power transmission antennas 15 in which the microwaves are focused by an operation and processing part 13 is operated on the basis of an angle detection signal. A phase difference is generated in a wave- divided signal from the wave-dividing circuit 7 by an operated signal in a variable phase shifter 8, and it is amplified to electric energy for microwave power transmission.
