Abstract:
To realize a power transmission apparatus capable of establishing a complete engagement state of frictional engagement elements without a slippage, thus improving a transmission efficiency.SOLUTION: A power transmission apparatus includes: a clutch mechanism 10 that includes a first frictional element 103 integrally rotating with an input shaft 2, a second frictional element 104 integrally rotating with an output shaft 3, and a control member 102 for switching the first and second frictional elements to an engaged state or disengaged state; and a lock mechanism 20, including a first rotary element 203 integrally rotating with the input shaft and a second rotary element 204 integrally rotating with the output shaft, for interconnecting the first and second rotary elements when the first and second frictional elements are switched to the engaged state and disconnecting the first and second rotary elements when the first and second frictional elements are switched to the disengaged state. Further, the lock mechanism interconnects the first and second rotary elements by receiving force with which the control member engages the first and second frictional elements for switching the first and second frictional elements to the engaged state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
