To make it possible to extend a travelling life even in the case of high bending stress and bending frequency in a power transmission belt.
The power transmission belt 10 has a belt body 12 made of a polymer. A compressed rubber layer 14 is provided on one face of the belt body 12 and the other face is covered with canvas 16. An adhesive rubber layer 18 is provided between the compressed rubber layer 14 and the canvas 16. The canvas 16 is woven by warps 30 extended in the longitudinal direction of the canvas 16 and wefts extended in the belt width direction. An aliphatic polyamide fiber textured yarn having elasticity by crimping is used for the warps 30 and a cotton yarn with a coarse surface is used for the wefts 32. The adhesive rubber layer 18 is bonded by vulcanization to the compressed rubber layer 14 after press-fitted to the canvas 16.
