By respectively and mutually forming a plurality of grooves 18 extending in the vertical direction to the pulley diameter direction at an interval on a side surface 26a of the respective elements 26, a plurality of projection parts 20 contacting with a sheave surface 16a are formed between the mutually adjacent mutual grooves 18. The contact area with the sheave surface 16a of the respective projection parts 20 is set smaller on the side in the pulley diameter direction than the inside in the pulley diameter direction. An inclination in the pulley diameter direction of the side surface 26a of the respective elements 26, is set larger than an inclination in the pulley diameter direction of the sheave surface 16a.
