Abstract:
To provide a power transmission cable and a laying structure for the power transmission cable capable of efficiently suppressing compressive force applied to a cable.SOLUTION: A power transmission cable 1 is used underwater, and is mainly composed of a cable 3, a tension cable 5, a bending member 7, and the like. The tensile cord 5 is connected to at least a part of the cable 3 in the length direction. The tension cord 5 is, for example, a chain. Both ends of the tension cord 5 are fixed to the cable 3 by a fixing portion 9. A part of the bending member 7 is connected to the cable 3 in the connection area of the tension cord 5. The length of the tension cord 5 is shorter than the length of the cable 3 between the pair of fixing portions 9 to which the tension cord 5 is fixed. In the connection area of the tension cord 5, the cable 3 is allowed to sag along the arc shape of the bending member 7, which prevents the cable 3 from taking any further radius of curvature in the arc area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
