Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an electric motor and its related functions from rotation of a wheel due to a drag torque of a clutch.
SOLUTION: A power transmission device comprises the electric motor 25, a deceleration mechanism 27 for decelerating a driving force of the electric motor, a differential device 31 for distributing the decelerated driving force on the wheel side, a casing 39 that stores them and has an oil sump, and a clutch 89 for connecting and disconnecting the driving force between the electric motor 25 and the wheel. A braking means 29 for braking rotation of a first shaft 49 using viscosity of oil rising in low temperature time is disposed between the first shaft 49 of the deceleration mechanism 27 and the casing 39.
