Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable effective transmission of a drive force and engine brake to four wheels, by a method wherein a free running clutch and a slide sleeve are connected to a responding device, effecting dynamic pressure responding to a steering angle, and is engageable to a one-way clutch. CONSTITUTION:During reduction linear driving, a responding device, motioned according to a steering angle, connects a driven shaft 27, connected to the power transmission system of a rear wheel drive part through movement of a slide sleeve 39, to a drive shaft 31, connected to a front wheel drive system, through a one-way clutch 35 for forward running, and a free running clutch 41, mounted to a slide sleeve 39, is engaged with a one-way clutch 36 for reversing and is set to a 4WD mode. During steering, the responding device is motioned according to a steering angle, the free running clutch 41 is released from engagement with the one-way clutch 36 for reversing in a state to connect the driven shaft 27 with the drive shaft 31 through the one-way clutch 35 for forward running.
