Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque limiter having equal performance in both normal and reverse directions in a power transmission device transmitting a rotational power from a driving source to a car air-conditioner or the like.
SOLUTION: This power transmission device transmits the rotational power to a shaft through a pulley from the driving source to a driven device by a belt or the like. A hub connecting the shaft and the pulley is provided with a bridge part connecting an outer hub and an inner hub constituting the hub. The hub is provided with a first narrow part which is installed in the position of the radius R1 in the bridge part and inclines at an angle θ to the tangent of the outer hub, and a second narrow part which inclines at an angle β being installed in the position of the larger radius R2 than the R1 in the bridge part and being different from θ to the tangent of the outer hub. The relation of the cross-section areas A, B of the first narrow part and the second first narrow part is set so as to be approximately expressed by 'A=B×R2/R1'.
