Abstract:
To utilize a simple structure to inhibit loss occurring during regeneration of energy and start an engine smoothly during driving by an electric motor without using an electric motor for start-up.SOLUTION: This power transmission device 3 includes: a first driving shaft 11 connected to an engine 1; a first output shaft 31; a second output shaft 32 directly connected to a transmission 4; a torque converter 20 connected to the first driving shaft 11; a second driving shaft 12 connected to an electric motor; a first transmission part 41; a second transmission part 42; and a transmission switching part 50. An impeller 21 of the torque converter 20 is connected to the first output shaft 31, and a turbine 22 is connected to the second output shaft 32. The first transmission part 41 transmits rotation between the first output shaft 31 and the second driving shaft 12 and the second transmission part 42 may transmit rotation between the second output shaft 32 and the second driving shaft 12. The transmission switching part 50 enables only one of the first transmission part 41 and the second transmission part 42 to operate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
