To provide a power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle which provides an effect of reducing engine vibration, facilitates engine clutch control, and has a package type layout practically enabling mass production.
The power transmission device for the hybrid vehicle comprises a motor support member with an outer circumferential part thereof supporting a motor rotor, a motor housing, an engine clutch arranged in a space between an end on a transmission side of the motor housing and a face on the transmission side of an inner circumferential part of the motor supporting member to transmit the power between an engine output shaft and an input shaft of an automatic transmission, a motor cover housing which is arranged to cover the face on the transmission side of the motor rotor and the inner circumferential part of the motor supporting member and has a recess in the face on the transmission side, and a torsion damper which is located in the recess of the motor cover housing and intercepted from the motor rotor.
