Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device for vehicle capable of starting up an engine using an electric motor for driving a gear change actuator.SOLUTION: When a sun gear 28 of a planetary gear mechanism 25 of a gear change actuator 23 is driven to rotate by an electric motor 24, first and second ring gears 30 and 31 are relatively rotated so as to integrally drive an input shaft 12 and a transmission shaft 15 to rotate with drive power of the electric motor 24 by mutually engaging a first engaging part 43a of a first connection member 43 integral with the input shaft 12 with a second engaging part 44a of a second connection member 44 integral with the transmission shaft 15. An engine E connected to the input shaft 12 is thereby enabled to start up by cranking with the drive power of the electric motor 24. The engine E can be started up without hindrance by assisting drive power of a starter motor with the drive power of the electric motor 24 while eliminating the starter motor for starting up or reducing the weight and costs by employing a starter motor with a small capacity.
