This device comprises a first shaft 3, a second shaft 5 and a third shaft 7, a first deceleration gear set 13 comprising a first small-diameter gear 9 and a first large-diameter gear 11, decelerating rotation of the first shaft 3 and transmitting it to the second shaft 5, a deceleration mechanism 21 including a second deceleration gear set 19 comprising a second small-diameter gear 15 and a second large-diameter gear 17, decelerating rotation of the second shaft 5 and transmitting it to the third shaft 7, an electric motor 23 rotating the first shaft 3, and a differential device 25 distributing the rotation of the third shaft 7 to a rear wheel side. The axial center of the differential device 25 and the electric motor 23 are arranged opposite to each other in the axial direction with the first large-diameter gear 11 as a center.
