To provide a power transmission device with a locking means for preventing the fall-off of a hub after operating a power cut-off member, capable of being inexpensively manufactured.
The power transmission device comprises a pulley 1 rotatably mounted on a casing 6 of rotary equipment, the hub 2 joined to the pulley 1 with tongue-and-groove engagement, the power cut-off member 3 for cutting off the transmission of overtorque between a rotating shaft 4 and the hub 2, and the locking means for locking the hub 2 to the pulley 1. The locking means consists of a first stepped portion 237 formed as a radial step on the outer periphery of the hub 2, and a second stepped portion 16 formed as a radial step on the inner peripheral wall of a rim portion 11 of the pulley 1 so that the first stepped portion 237 is locked thereto in the axial direction.
