To provide a power transmission device which can suppress the degradation of operation when the operation of a rotation motor is prohibited.
The power transmission device includes: a planetary gear mechanism 10 which regulates the rotation of a sun gear 11 of the planetary gear mechanism in an engaged state; a brake which regulates the rotation of a sun gear of the planetary gear mechanism in an engaged state; a dog clutch 4 which integrally rotates a carrier 14 of the planetary gear mechanism and the sun gear in an engaged state; and a one-way clutch 5. A drive wheel is connected to a ring gear 13 of the planetary gear mechanism, an engine 1 and a transmission 2 are connected to a carrier and the rotation motor 3 is connected the sun gear, respectively. The one-way clutch prevents the rotation speed of the sun gear from being becoming higher than the rotation speed of the carrier so that the rotation direction of the ring gear in vehicle advancement is defined as a positive direction.
