Abstract:
To provide a power transmission device capable of reducing generation of a drag torque while a friction clutch is in a disengaged state.
A power transmission device 1 includes: a pair of rotating members 3, 5 disposed to be relatively rotatable; a friction clutch 7 disposed between the paired rotating members 3, 5 to engage or disengage power transmission between the paired rotating members 3, 5; a pressing member 9 disposed adjacent to the friction clutch 7 and pressing the friction clutch 7; and a ball screw mechanism 11 that moves and operates the pressing member 9. The pressing member 9 is always biased in a direction of disengaging the friction clutch 7 by a biasing member 13.
