A power transmission device 10 includes a container body 15 formed by assembling a second split container 14 to a first split container 12. The container body 15 includes a cable insertion part 122, a first retaining member 124 and a second retaining member 144. The first retaining member 124 is supported by the first split container 12, to hold a periphery on the side of the second split container 14 of a torque transmission cable 16 inserted into the cable insertion part 122. The second retaining part 144 is supported by the second split container 14 to hold a periphery on the side of the first split container 12 of the torque transmission cable 16.
