Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device which is easy to assemble.SOLUTION: A housing 3 for housing a transmission mechanism 2 is constituted by assembling first and second split housings 21, 22 in axial directions of an input shaft 11, an intermediate shaft 12, and first and second supporting cylinder parts 31b, 31c of a carrier 31. An input-shaft supporting hole 51, an intermediate-shaft supporting hole 54 and a second-carrier supporting hole 57 are formed in the second split housing 22. The input shaft 11, the intermediate shaft 12 and the second supporting cylinder part 31c are rotatably supported by the second split housing 22 via bearings 61-63 which are provided in the supporting holes 51, 54, 57 at their fixed positions. The second split housing 22 are formed in such a way that distances L1-L3 from the opening positions of the supporting holes 51, 54, 57 to the fixed positions of the bearings 61-63 are different from one another and the distance L2 in the intermediate-shaft supporting hole 54 closest to the gravity center of the second split housing 22 is longest.
