PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of smoothly and promptly performing power separating action or power switching action.SOLUTION: A power transmission device 4 is equipped with an idling gear 41 which is provided idly rotatably provided on a rotary shaft 3 and is adjacent to a clutch hub 42 on the rotary shaft, is equipped with a first gear 41b; and a sleeve 43 which is engaged with the clutch hub so as to move in an axis direction CL of the rotary shaft, and can reciprocate between an engaging position S engaged with a spline teeth of the idling gear and a neutral position N disengaged from the spline teeth of the idling gear. A thrust transmission member 44 reciprocating a sleeve in the axial direction is equipped with a first extending portion 44c provided with a first engaging portion 44e engaged with an engaged portion 43b of the sleeve, a second extending portion 44d which is engaged with the engaged portion of the sleeve, and is provided with a second engaging portion 44f separated from the first engaging portion by a predetermined angle about an axis, and a base portion 44b connected with base end portions of the first and second extending portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
