Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form up a torque limiting mechanism at the time of over-loading, which is provided with a torque fluctuation absorbing function, and concurrently, exhibit an excellent torque limiting function by its intended operation characteristics at the time of low temperature.
SOLUTION: When a compressor 4 is normally in operation, the torque of an engine is transmitted to a rotating shaft 6 through a pulley 1, a rotor 2, a second holding member 13, a rubber elastic member 15, a first holding member 12 and hubs 10 and 7, and the compressor 4 is thereby operated. Meanwhile, at the time of over-loading such as a case that the compressor 4 is locked, the elastic member 15 is deformed, the outer circumferential surface of the elastic member 15 is slid with respect to the inner circumferential surface of the first holding member 12, and power transmission is thereby isolated. Even if the elastic member 15 is hardened at low temperature in cold winter, since a slit 12C is formed in the first holding member 12, the first holding member 12 is plastically deformed, and an increase in operating torque in a torque limiter is thereby suppressed.
