Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily show torque limitter function with specified operation torque by providing a torque limitter mechanism for excessive load having a torque fluctuation absorbing function, and preventing a biting phenomenon of an elastic member.
SOLUTION: When a compressor 4 is normally operated, the torque of an engine is transmitted to a rotary shaft 6 of the compressor 4 through a pulley 1, a rotor 2, a second holding member 13, a rubber elastic member 15, a first holding member 12, and hubs 10, 7. Under excessive load caused by, for example, locking of the compressor 4, the elastic member 15 is deformed. An outer peripheral surface of the elastic member 15 is slid on an inner peripheral surface of the first holding member 12 for interrupting power transmission. A projection 15D is formed on the elastic member 15 for forming gaps Y of a specified interval between an axial one end of the elastic member 15 and an inner circumferentially bent portion of the first holding member 12. It is thus possible to reduce torsional force applied to the elastic member 15 and absorb the torsional deformation of the elastic member 15 in the axial direction by the gaps Y.
