Abstract:
Certain spirocyclic ketals of the formula in which R1 in the case where R2 denotes hydrogen, represents a cyclohexyl radical optionally substituted by lower alkyl, lower alkoxy and/or cycloalkyl with 5 to 7 carbon atoms, or in which R1 and R2 are linked through 4 methylene groups, which are optionally substituted by lower alkyl, lower alkoxy and/or cycloalkyl with 5 to 7 carbon atoms and form a further acyclic ring. R3, R4 and R5 are identical or different and denote hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or cycloalkyl with 5 to 7 carbon atoms, and Z denotes alkylene with 2 to 4 carbon atoms which is optionally substituted by lower alkyl and/or cycloalkyl with 5 to 7 carbon atoms, are disclosed together with their use in power transmission fluids.
