Abstract:

To provide a power transmission mechanism capable of more easily suppressing inflow of liquid into a drive unit.SOLUTION: A power transmission mechanism 1 utilized in sea water 2 includes: a drive unit 10 for generating power; a container 20 storing the drive unit 10 with an opening 22 positioned higher than the drive unit 10 when the power transmission mechanism 1 is utilized in the sea water 2; electric insulation oil 30 stored in the container 20, having greater specific gravity than the sea water 2, with characteristic of non-electric conductivity, and being liquid not mixing with the sea water 2, and provided to have the whole drive unit 10 immersed when the power transmission mechanism 1 is utilized in the sea water 2; and a projection unit 40 projecting outside the container 20 through the opening 22 and transmitting power generated by the drive unit 10 or substance moved by the power outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
