Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission mechanism which transmits force stronger than that transmitted by a conventional friction wheel, and a pulley, a belt or the like on which fine unevenness is formed, suppresses wear and heat generation, eliminates the necessity of consideration of engagement unlike a gear, a chain, a toothed belt or the like, materializes power transmission having a wide application range in a simple structure, and hardly suffers from damage under a overload.
SOLUTION: The power transmission mechanism consists of a power transmitting surface (2) which is almost perpendicular to a power transmitting surface fitted to the outer periphery of a wheel and whose surface has a lot of elastically deformable liner projections (1), and a power transmitting surface (3) in which the projections have a lot of loops (4), holes (9) or recesses (10) hooked in a displacement direction between the power transmitting surfaces.
