Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission shaft for a vehicle steering device that can suppress the generation of wobbling at a normal use, and can maintain a steering function at least temporarily even at a fault.SOLUTION: An intermediate shaft 5 has a tolerance ring 39 interposed between an inner shaft 37 and an outer shaft 38. A pair of regulated parts 44, 45 of a first shaft 41 of the inner ring 37 regulate the relative rotation of the inner shaft 37 and the outer shaft 38 by being engaged with a pair of regulation parts 54, 55 of a first cylinder 51 of the outer shaft 38. The tolerance ring 39 connects a second shaft 42 of the inner shaft 37 and a second cylinder 52 of the outer shaft 38 so as to be capable of transmitting torque so that the wobbling may not be generated.
